Take the opportunity to have a mentor for one year
Since 2017, Greenhouse has offered a one-year mentorship program that provides five independent designers the opportunity of having the support and feedback of an industry established mentor. Through the mentorship program, the selected designers are given an opportunity to thrive with help from a design professional with many years of experience from the design industry.
The mentors 2024 are:
Thommy Bindefeld, Senior Advisor, Svenskt Tenn
Thommy Bindefeld studied design at Beckmans College of Design in the late 1980’s. Following that, he worked within retail as a designer, Design Director, Creative Director, Marketing Director and is now Senior Advisor at Svenskt Tenn. Thommy has been a part of the traditional Swedish design company for the last 15 years and also works as a guest lecturer and critic at Konstfack and Beckman’s and has initiated many collaborations with design students over the years.

Fredrik Paulsen, Designer
Fredrik Paulsen was born in 1980 and is currently based in Stockholm. His creative endeavours span furniture and interior design, as well as exhibitions and his work has been shown in galleries and museums worldwide. Among the manufacturers he has worked with are Blå Station and Vaarnii. He is also the founder of Joy Objects, a furniture brand focusing on affordable furniture for everyday use.

Anna Kraitz, Designer
Anna Kraitz is a designer trained at Beckmans School of Design and the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. She collaborates with clients such as Källemo, Örsjö Belysning, Nola and Design House Stockholm. In parallel, she works with her own art and design projects. Several of Anna's works are represented in the permanent collections of the National Museum in Stockholm and Malmö Museum. She has also participated in several major exhibitions in Tokyo, London, New York, Paris and Washington.

Margot Barolo, Design Manager, Design House Stockholm
Margot Barolo has a background as a designer and design producer, and later as a programme coordinating lecturer at Beckmans College of Design. She is particularly interested in issues concerning the role of the designer and social sustainability within production. Her work has resulted in the artistic research project The Kinship Method. This has also led her to a new role at Design House Stockholm as Design Director with responsibility for design and product development.

Dag Klockby, Chairman of the Board, Gärsnäs
Dag Klockby has worked in the furniture industry since 1983 and has over 40 years of experience in marketing, sales, manufacturing and product development. The furniture brand Gärsnäs was founded in 1893 and celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2023. Dag has been active as CEO of the company for 20 years and is currently serving as Chairman of the Board. “Issues related to our industry and its development engage me strongly, not least because of how the world looks like today and how we should relate to the environmental issues and climate threats hanging over us”.
