Now or never – Designing towards Zero

By 2050, we must be down to zero emissions to adhere to the Paris Agreement. Some companies want to challenge this and are now betting on making products that have zero emissions as early as 2030. But is zero emissions really achievable? This panel will explore how we define zero, and pose important questions about the challenges ahead.

 

Designing towards zero is moderated by the acclaimed journalist and public educator Per Grankvist and is part of a series of panel discussions focusing on a sustainable future. The panel series is initiated by NOW OR NEVER, a knowledge sharing exhibition in Hall C06:29 about the impact materials have on our climate. NOW OR NEVER is organised by Emma Olbers, designer and sustainability strategist, together with the design and innovation agency EY Doberman.
