A Behavioral Crisis? The Role of Choice in the Transition towards a Circular Economy

Can the interior industry rise to the challenge set by the Green Deal and EU taxonomy for a circular economy? Despite a surge in circular solutions, over the past decade, full-scale market adoption lags. Since autumn 2023, 100Gruppen has been engaged in a research project exploring behavioral changes among key players, aiming to boost reuse.

The Talk aims to shed light on the behavioral crisis that we face today, identified as an obstacle in transitioning to a circular economy. It will explore practical challenges and opportunities in implementing circular solutions. Erik Bohjort, from the Nordic Behaviour Group, will start with insights on mind, behavior, furniture selection, and climate change. Following, an expert panel discussion will focus on key questions, examining the role of behavior in the circular economy and overcoming barriers to furniture reuse. Join us in addressing challenges and opportunities in adopting circular solutions and shaping a sustainable future.
