This presentation introduces the two studio projects displayed in the space of Estonian Academy of Arts. The 2nd year product design studio Slowness considers slow design as a philosophical principle that focuses on individual, socio-cultural and environmental well-being, based on the fact that the slower flow of people, economy and resources is an inseparable principle of well-being. In studio Tool, 1st year students of architecture create their own chair or bench based on the given wooden material, which must also be usable under their own weight. The display would consist of a selection of the best chairs made by students in the chair studio over a 5-year period.
