Circular economy is one of the key factors in the transition towards a climate neutral future. Over the last several years the interior industry has undergone a big shift in understanding of the necessity to move away from a linear model of production and consumption towards circular solutions. This has resulted in the development of new materials, product design and business models. New actors have emerged offering a variety of circular services aiming at improving performance and extending products life length. In this talk we will present some of latest circular business models in the interior industry and discuss about overcoming hinders and barriers for their implementation at a larger scale. What are the key factors for spinning the wheel? Spinning the wheel – from linear to circular is organised by 100Gruppen, a Swedish collaborative interior design platform working for a sustainable and circular industry that is climate neutral by 2030.
